Our bars are made from Ecuadorian cacao, Arriba Nacional-Fino de Aroma. This cacao is considered worldwide. This cacao is considered worldwide to have the finest floral aroma and flavor. It also has the highest amount of bioavailable nutrients and minerals. This type of cacao is used to make the most exclusive cacao products. The cacao is also wild-crafted and heirloom. It is nourished by mineral rich soil, the freshest spring water and grown in remote environments. The cacao products are all 100% raw.
Be Raw chocolate has many health benefits for the Body, Mind, and Soul. 3x, in fact, than other raw chocolates. First, each batch is infused with a healing blessing based on the teachings of the Tao. Second, the bars are each representative of one of the 7 main chakras (energy centres) in the body. Third, our raw chocolate is made with carefully chosen ingredients that each have a plethora of benefits of their own: Raw cacao-contains antioxidants (more even than acai berries), contains anandamide (induces pleasant state of mind, phenylethylamine (PEA) inspires happiness, clarity, focus, and wakefulness. Cacao is also rich in potassium, iron, & magnesium.
The Be Raw dream is to have a direct relationship with the farmers who are picking, fermenting, and sun drying our cacao. For now, the next best thing is we get our beautiful cacao from a company who does have the direct relationship with the farmers. One day soon, we will be sharing the Be Raw adventure where we meet those farmers and their families. This company pays its farmers higher than fair trade.
